Soft & Fluffy Milk Brioche Rolls: A Perfect Treat!

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups all-purpose  flour
  • 2 eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 cup whole  milk, heated to about 110°F (43°C)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted  butter
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (or 2 1/4 teaspoons)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Sesame seeds (optional, for topping)

Instructions:

  1. Activate the yeast: In a bowl, combine the warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
  2. Make the dough: In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt. Create a well in the center and add the yeast mixture, eggs, and melted butter. Mix until the dough comes together.
  3. Knead: Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes, until the dough is smooth and elastic.
  4. First rise: Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise for 1-2 hours, or until it doubles in size.
  5. Shape the rolls: Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and place them in a greased baking pan.
  6. Second rise: Cover the pan and let the dough rise for another 1-2 hours, until the rolls puff up and fill the pan.
  7. Bake: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Brush the rolls with a bit of melted butter and sprinkle sesame seeds on top. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Cool & serve: Let the rolls cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
